My name is Martin Rack and you could say that blacksmithing is in my DNA. My father, grandfather, great great grandfa…(I could keep going) were all Blacksmiths. One of my earliest childhood memories was the smell of the forge, the sound of the anvil and watching how wrought iron or mild steel would magically turn into usable practical items. It is no wonder that now I feel most at home in the forge with those same smells and sounds I grew up with.

My process is a blend of time-honoured techniques and modern innovation. I start with raw materials like wrought iron or mild steel, heating them in the forge until they are malleable. Using anvils, hammers, and other traditional tools, I shape the metal into the desired form. This hands-on approach allows me to create pieces that are not only unique but also built to last.
